After graduating with a diploma in Home Economics, Fran began her career freelancing for several well-known Australian food writers, owning a café and catering business then a restaurant.
Fran joined The Weekly way back in 1994 as a young home economist in The Weekly’s world famous Test Kitchen. After gaining practical experience in all aspects of food publishing (from the ground up!), Fran is now Food Director of The Australian Woman’s Weekly brand. Fran enthuses, “this really is my dream job, I love to help create and share beautiful recipes with our readers’ in our magazine and cookbooks. I feel privileged to be part of The Australian Women’s Weekly’s food team.
Fran loves to cook and believes that good food is all about simplicity and generosity of spirit.
