Kirsten Jenkins

I was raised on the southern beaches of Sydney with a complete obsession for food and a large appetite, time was split between surfing, swimming and eating. After running away on an adventure to eat my way through Europe the realisation of what I wanted to do with my future was obvious.

On my return from overseas I enrolled at TAFE to obtain my chefs certificate with the goal of working in the world of food publishing.
On completion of my certificate I worked behind the scenes on the first season of Masterchef Australia, travelled to the UK with well known food stylist Jody Vassallo to work on three French cookbooks and then returned to be the food editor at Donna Hay Magazine for 3 ½ years.

I have been a freelance recipe writer, photo chef and food stylist for books, magazines and advertising. Working for publishers such as SBS Feast Magazine, Murdoch Books, Hardie Grant Books, Mindfood Magazine and Womens Weekly Cookbooks.

For the last 2 years I have been the style editor at Delicious Magazine as well co-writing the Pie Project cookbook, as well as styling and photographing it.
